Invisalign Full: the complete treatment of Invisalign aligners

Having misaligned teeth does not only cause aesthetic problems, but also other more problematic consequences. However, it is not always easy for an adult to take on rather unsightly metal braces, especially since a treatment is spread out over several months, even more than a year.
Invisalign Full has created a revolutionary appliance, because it is 100% transparent and allows you to correct your teeth as effectively as the old orthodontic appliances.

Orthodontic problems in adults
If you were not treated by a dentist and an orthodontist during your childhood, you may end up with misaligned teeth, which has several disadvantages:
- Overlapping teeth are more difficult to clean and provide nooks and crannies for bacteria to grow;
- Poor positioning can prevent you from eating properly, as you are not able to cut and grind food properly, which can affect your digestive system;
- you may also develop speech and pronunciation problems;
- finally, of course, teeth in battle generate complexes that prevent you from expressing yourself or from smiling, in order to hide them.
The Invisalign Full concept
Invisalign Full has really revolutionized orthodontics by creating transparent aligners that are also called “aligners”. This concept was developed by an American company, based in California, in 1997. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval was granted in 1999 and the Invisalign procedure arrived in France the following year.
The Invisalign brand distributes its product in France, through orthodontists trained in this technology and approved by the brand. If you are interested, you should talk to your orthodontist who will determine if you are eligible. If necessary, he will scan your jaws and take impressions to make the aligners. You will have several games that will follow the evolution of your teeth.

You wear these aligners daily, if possible permanently, and change them every week or two, as prescribed by your orthodontist. Every 6 to 8 weeks, you will have a follow-up appointment to ensure that the treatment is going as planned.
Once your treatment is complete and your teeth are perfectly aligned, you will go through a restorative phase designed to fix the treatment. Indeed, without this precaution, your teeth can return to their former position. You will have to prolong your treatment for a while, but once it is really over, your teeth will not move anymore.
The treatment lasts between 6 and 24 months, depending on the extent of the adjustment to be made. It is a little longer than the rings, but just as effective.
The advantages of Invisalign Full
Invisalign Full has only advantages!
- Invisalign Full fits all jaws, except in extreme cases. Most people are eligible for this technology.
- The device is almost invisible, only people who approach you very closely can detect the gutters, which are not unsightly anyway.
- The gutters are removable. You must wear them all the time, but you can take them off for an important meeting, for example.
- The hygiene is perfect. After eating and brushing your teeth, you remove the aligners. You don't have the inconvenience of food that often gets stuck in the bands and promotes cavities.
- The comfort is incomparable. With braces, treatment can be painful, especially at first and each time the orthodontist tightens the braces. On the other hand, you don't risk injuring the inside of your lips and cheeks, which happens regularly with braces.
What is the price of an Invisalign Full treatment ?

The cost of Invisalign Full treatment depends on the initial condition of your jaws. In all cases, your orthodontist must provide you with an estimate that covers the entire duration of the treatment, including the manufacture of all sets of aligners, as well as regular check-ups.
You must then ask your mutual insurance company to find out if it reimburses you and, if so, how much. Social Security does not reimburse orthodontic treatment for patients over the age of 16.
The range of the Invisalign Full treatment is between 2 000 € and 7 000 €.
In less pronounced cases, you can ask your orthodontist if an Invisalign Lite treatment would not be sufficient. It is the same concept, but lighter, shorter and less expensive.
You can also opt for aligners from Dr Smile, another brand of invisible orthodontics that offers treatments starting at 31€ per month.
