It limits the harmful effects of free radicals on the body and controls the presence of certain bacteria in the body.

Polyphenols have anti-oxidant properties

The benefits of polyphenols on teeth and gums

Two polyphenols were isolated from red wine and studied by the research team: paracoumaric acid and caffeic acid. In fact, they have revealed their characteristics: they regulate the bacteria responsible for the appearance of cavities, dental plaque and certain diseases that affect the gums.

Indeed, these bacteria are blocked by these two polyphenols in their attachment process on the oral cells.
