We list below the main elements that determine the price:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Dentist's fees: <\/strong>the fees of different dentists are highly variable (the most experienced and reputable ones generally have higher fees), which is why it is a good idea to compare prices;<\/li><li><strong>Number of implants to be placed; <\/strong><\/li><li><strong>The quality of the implants:<\/strong> zirconia implants are twice as expensive as titanium implants;<\/li><li><strong>The price of the prosthetic act: <\/strong>that is to say the whole process of realization and installation of the prosthesis that is fixed on the implants. This includes the fees of the prosthetist, the complexity of the prosthesis and the materials used;<\/li><li><strong>The complexity of the operation:<\/strong> it will depend on the position of the teeth to be replaced, the need for a bone graft and its type if it is necessary, the oral condition;<\/li><li>Complementary examinations carried out (X-rays, scans&#8230;);<\/li><li><strong>The technique performed<\/strong> (immediate or delayed loading&#8230;);<\/li><li><strong>Geographical location:<\/strong> it is important to know that the prices charged in France for implantology are among the most expensive in Europe.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_the_price_of_a_dental_implant\"><\/span>What is the price of a dental implant?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you are aware of the variables that determine the price of dental implants, it is time to give you some (most recent) figures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The price of a dental implant and its abutment varies between 700 and 1500 \u20ac <\/strong>with an average of <strong>1200 \u20ac<\/strong>. To this price, you must add <strong>between 600 and 1000 \u20ac for the crown<\/strong>, which brings the total bill to<strong> 1800 \u20ac on average<\/strong> for a single tooth (between 1500 and 2500 \u20ac).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For each additional procedure an additional amount must be paid:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>For a bone graft in the jaw: <\/strong> the costs are extremely variable, count 600 to 5000 \u20ac additional;<\/li><li><strong>For a dental extraction <\/strong>: 60 and 250 \u20ac for a basic extraction and between 100 and 500 \u20ac for a surgical extraction;<\/li><li><strong>For complementary examinations: <\/strong>10 to 150 \u20ac for X-rays and between 150 and 400 \u20ac for a scanner.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All these additional services can easily bring the total bill for the replacement of a single tooth to about <strong>3500 \u20ac <\/strong>(between 2000 and 5000 \u20ac).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the replacement of all the teeth of both jaws by implants, you should count between <strong>30 000<\/strong> and <strong>60 000 \u20ac<\/strong> with an average price closer to<strong> 35 000 \u20ac<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dental_implant_what_is_covered_by_social_security\"><\/span>Dental implant: what is covered by social security?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Almost none!  <\/strong>Unfortunately, the new 2020 100% dental reimbursement reform does not include dental implants. The process of installing one or more dental implants is therefore entirely at your expense, well almost, because the health insurance covers the reimbursement of all or part of the cost of the crown or crowns (depending on their materials &#8230;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is why it is<strong>wise to opt for a health insurance plan that covers the installation of dental implants<\/strong>. In fact, some of them reimburse at least part of the costs incurred in this type of intervention. So don't hesitate to use online mutual insurance comparisons to choose the one that best suits your needs and reduce the amount you pay out of pocket!
